Meet KoKo a Serial Entrepreneur originally from Hampton Roads, Virginia, now located in the DMV area.

A Few Words From Our Founder & CEO

I am often asked, What inspired my Entrepreneurship journey, How is it I became a “Serial” Entrepreneur, and What it is that I do?

My Entrepreneurship journey was inspired by my late mother who battled Breast Cancer for 21 years until she transitioned on July 24, 2021. My mother was diagnosed at age 32 with Stage 4 Breast Cancer and she set the bar high for me. My mother was a Liberian by day and an Entrepreneur by night. We had businesses we worked on together on the side up until she became too ill to do so. When I was in middle school we became The Family Neighborhood Candy & Snack shop. By the time I got to college, we started C & G Custom Handmade Jewelry.

Being my mother's full-time caretaker and watching her battle not just Cancer, but also Diabetes, and Congestive Heart Failure since I was 11 years old inspired my passion for Financial Freedom, Health & Wellness, and Beauty. My mother loved to work hard, dress nice, and was always very well-groomed. As her health declined, I assisted her by helping her to maintain those standards. I chose to pick up where she left off and follow in her footsteps. My mother and I often discussed the needs we saw in our communities and the visions we had to help bring forth change. After going through the experience of hospice care, losing my mother, and going through the different phases of grief I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands to help aid in the change in my community by using the skills and talents my mother and I practiced.

The fact that I am constantly coming up with new ideas and ways to help bring change in my community led to me becoming a Serial Entrepreneur. My passion has always been to help others. I strive to use my gifts, talents, and knowledge to help make a positive difference in the lives of those I come into contact with. I wear many hats and titles which include: Special Education Autism Teacher, Psychologist, Motivational Speaker, Medical Nail Tech, Professional Registered Tax Preparer, Fashion Brand Ambassador, Creator of Arts, and Digital Content Creator just to name a few.

The It’s KoKo With A K Brand helps me to embody who I am as a person. This brand puts me in a position to be able to use all of my talents to help bring forth the positive changes I feel are needed in the world and my community by helping others accomplish Financial Independence, Look good, and Feel good on the inside and the outside about themselves and who they are.
